Chinese Rosewood Mother Pearl Inlaid DiningTable Set With 4 Chairs f383S

  • $ 28,00000

China has a very long history of mother-of-pearl inlaid handicraft technique. It can be traced to as early as the Zhou Dynasty (around 770 B.C.) This technique was introduced to Japan in Tang Dynasty and gradually became prevalent among the royal members and nobles in Asia and Europe. This stunning beautiful 8 immortals style table set is made of very nice & rare Chinese rosewood. It has white marble tops and mother-of- pearl floral pattern inlays all around the body . It is not only time consuming but also requires master carving skills to harmonize the mother pearl into the rosewood with a gorgeous art works pattern. The designer also has very deep understanding of the traditional Chinese hand carving. As we see from the pictures, almost all kind of complicated carving techniques, relief carving, open-work carving and round carving, are used on this table set. This definitely will be a breathtaking beautiful thing to flash your guests' eyes, and it also is a great art works for either uses or collection.
