This is an old Chinese Kesi - Chinese silk tapestry woven in a pictorial design - reframed with wooden frame and transparent plastic cover. It is a collectible piece as well as a decoration piece.
The earliest record example of Kesi is from the Tang dynasty ( 618-907), then it became widely used during China's Southern Song period (1127 -1279 ). The technique became popular during the Ming period (1368-1644) until the end of the Qing dynasty in 1911/12.
