This is a set of eight black lacquer surface panels screen room divider with color hardstone and mother of pearl inlaid in traditional Chinese chinoiserie style. Each panel has the precise floral mother of pearl inlaid motifs around the edge. The top fan shape section has golden scroll cloud patterns with two of the treasure items in color enamel finish. The center section is inlaid of flower, fruit, treasure item, animal from different color hardstone and jade stone. The bottom section is a simple jade stone carved plaques inlaid. Besides the high-quality craftsmanship, the quality of the stone is better and more delicate with sophisticated details. The back of the screen has color golden scenery graphic on the lacquer base. Circa 1900
