Distressed Yellowish Floral Graphic Mid Size Credenza Sideboard Cabinet GB682S
This striking antique Asian cabinet features a vibrant, heavily distressed yellow lacquer finish over a sturdily built wooden frame, showcasing an authentic, weathered patina with prominent areas of dark underlacquer and exposed wood grain. Viewed straight-on, the front of the low cabinet consists of a single large door on the right and a fixed decorative panel underneath, all framed by thick, square-angled legs.
The focal point of the piece is an oval-shaped, hand-painted medallion in the center of the door, which depicts a traditional floral scene with red and yellow blossoms amidst green foliage; the painting itself bears a beautiful, naturally chipped and flaked texture that speaks to its considerable age. A small, simple round metal backplate with a teardrop pull serves as the hardware on the right edge of the door.
From a three-quarters perspective, the cabinet's boxy, utilitarian form is evident, with the side panel carrying through the same heavily cracked and worn yellow finish. When opened, the cabinet reveals a starkly contrasting, dark-stained natural wood interior divided by a single sturdy horizontal shelf, offering practical storage space beneath its historically rich exterior.
