Oriental Two Brown Tone Butterflies Hardware End Table Nightstand GB120S
This is a beautiful example of a vintage Korean Bandaji chest (or similar traditional cabinet), characterized by its rich, dark wood and highly figured grain, likely from burled wood sections used for the central panels. The chest features an elegantly curved, slightly overhanging top reminiscent of traditional Korean rooflines. Functionally, it is divided into an upper section with three small drawers, each fitted with curved, brass pull handles. The middle section is dominated by a central pair of doors that open outward, revealing a sizable storage cavity . These doors are secured by a prominent, stylized brass butterfly hinge plate, flanked by four smaller butterfly-shaped escutcheons on the surrounding panels. The lower half features a pattern of rectangular, framed wooden panels, continuing the striking contrast between the dark frame and the lighter, patterned central sections. The entire piece is elevated slightly on bracketed legs with subtle, scrolled detailing, adding a final touch of refinement to this classic piece of Korean furniture.
