This is a detailed, dynamic bronze statue depicting Guan Yu (also known as Guan Gong), the famous general from the Three Kingdoms period of China, who is revered as a deity of war, wealth, and righteousness. The statue captures the general in a powerful, commanding stance, appearing to be atop a rocky outcrop or battleground. He is clad in meticulously detailed, scaled armor, which features intricate dragon motifs suggesting his high status and martial prowess. In his raised hands, he wields his iconic weapon, the Green Dragon Crescent Blade (or Guan Dao), poised in a striking motion. A touch of contrasting color is provided by a flowing sash or piece of fabric rendered in a lighter, golden bronze, which adds a sense of movement to the otherwise dark, patinated bronze finish.
