This large, ovoid-shaped porcelain ginger jar features a vibrant, wrap-around narrative scene rendered in a palette of cobalt blue, coral-red, and various shades of green and yellow. The central motif depicts a classic "hundred boys" or courtly garden scene, where elegant figures in flowing traditional robes engage in leisure activities alongside playful children. The landscape is punctuated by stylized scholar’s rocks, gnarled pine trees, and auspicious orange clouds that drift across the upper register. A distinctive "cracked ice" pattern in blue decorates the shoulder, transitioning into a geometric chevron border at the base of the domed lid. The lid itself continues the narrative theme, featuring a lady seated by a blue trellis bridge with children. While the jar mimics the aesthetic of the Qing dynasty, the brightness of the enamels and the uniform, pristine condition of the white glaze—including the unglazed foot rim—suggest it is a high-quality decorative production of the 20th century.
