The is a tall and gracefully shaped Chinese celadon pastel green color vase. The vase features a smooth, pale green glaze that is characteristic of celadon ware. The body swells gently before tapering into a slender neck that flares slightly at the rim. The surface of the vase is decorated with intricate, raised designs in a contrasting metallic gold or bronze color. These decorations include a prominent peacock / phoenix with elaborate tail feathers, perched on stylized rocks and surrounded by flowering branches. Smaller birds are also depicted in flight around the vase. The neck of the vase has simpler, circular medallions with decorative patterns. The combination of the serene celadon glaze and the rich, raised metallic ornamentation creates a visually appealing contrast, highlighting the elegant form and detailed craftsmanship of the piece.
