Vintage Cloisonne Yellow Enamel General Guan Yu Warrior Metal Statue GB244S
This impressive bronze and cloisonné enamel sculpture depicts Guan Yu, the legendary general from the Three Kingdoms period and a revered deity in Chinese culture. Standing in a commanding martial pose, the figure is dressed in elaborate armor partially covered by a vibrant imperial yellow robe. This robe is decorated with intricate cloisonné enamel floral motifs—primarily lotus blossoms in shades of blue, red, and white—connected by winding turquoise vines. In his right hand, he grips his signature weapon, the Green Dragon Crescent Blade, while his left hand rests firmly on the hilt of a sword at his hip.
Behind his shoulders, four triangular battle flags (kao) fan out, signifying his high military rank and readiness for combat. His face is cast with a stern, authoritative expression, framed by a long, flowing beard and topped with a traditional general’s helmet. The entire figure stands upon an ornate bronze base featuring a cloud-and-dragon motif, where a coiled dragon emerges from the mist to support the warrior. The contrast between the dark, patinated bronze of the skin and weaponry and the brilliant, multicolored enamel of the vestments creates a striking visual balance, embodying both the ferocity and the divinity of the "God of War."
